Working together

Three ways to work together

Fixed scope, monthly retainer, or hourly. Same developer and same process in all three, just different plans to fit your needs better.

Fixed-scope project

BEST FOR

A defined project with a clear goal: a new site, a rebuild, or one specific feature.

HOW IT'S BILLED

Agreed total, split across phases. You'll have the full budget before anything starts.

  • Written scope and timeline
  • Phase-based payments
  • Fixed deliverables, no drift
  • Post-launch warranty period

Monthly retainer

BEST FOR

Ongoing work: a project that keeps evolving, or a site that needs a steady hand on it.

HOW IT'S BILLED

A reserved block of hours each month, billed as one monthly fee.

  • Reserved space in my calendar
  • Priority response times
  • Monthly summary of work done
  • Cancel with 30 days notice

Hourly

BEST FOR

Small changes, audits, second opinions, or work that genuinely can't be scoped upfront.

HOW IT'S BILLED

Hours tracked and billed, with a breakdown you can review line by line.

  • No minimum commitment
  • Transparent, itemised time log
  • Estimate before I start anything
  • Ideal for ad-hoc fixes

Every project starts with a free 30-minute call and a written proposal. You'll have a full scope and a fixed number in front of you before you commit to anything.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Between projects, yes: a Fixed-scope project often turns into a Monthly retainer afterwards. Mid-project, no: once underway, it runs to completion at the agreed price, with no refunds or early exits. Once it ends, you're free to switch models.
